Carrier Bid Cost Comparison Worksheet

Compare entered transportation, fuel, accessorial and other costs for equivalent proposals. An illustrative preparation tool, not a freight rating engine.

Illustrative worksheet

Compare entered amounts for the same shipment set and service scope. Example amounts are invented, in USD, and are not freight quotes or market rates. Enter already-calculated charges; this tool does not rate shipments.

Questions & answers

#What do the example figures represent?

They are invented worksheet inputs for the same hypothetical shipment set, used only to demonstrate addition of entered costs. They are not carrier rates, CPC client results, market benchmarks or forecasts. Replace them with complete comparable amounts from actual proposals and validate the underlying rating before making an award.

#Why might the lowest worksheet total still be unsuitable?

A total does not establish equivalent service, capacity, scope, validity, commitments or operating feasibility. The worksheet does not calculate tariffs, fuel interactions, minimums or other freight rating rules. Use it as a screen and follow the full bid-evaluation method to resolve differences and unpriced exposure.
